This program has been designed to encourage athletes to continue to develop skills and continue to compete and progress to a higher level. Strengthening the skills and techniques of ski racing and freeskiing in varied terrain and conditions as well as gate training will be offered daily. Athletes in U19 are invited to enroll in DPSEF on-snow camps in fall and spring at locations such as Mammoth and Mt. Hood for further skill development.
Athletes moving into U19 are encouraged to fully participate in FarWest competition.
Competition ranges from local races in the Tahoe Basin to races across the country. There are many opportunities to travel to races out of state and even international. This age group is significantly more competing than U19 if athletes are looking for more race opportunities. Also, this age group can be kept local racing at high-level races in the Tahoe Basin.
All athletes interested in racing must register and maintain a US Ski and Snowboard membership for the season. (Not included with DPSEF registration)
