Masters training provides a supportive, collaborative environment focusing on empowering each individual to progress their ski and ski racing skills. Our athletes provide camaraderie and fun on the hill training, freeskiing, and at races. Masters athletes are not required to race. Several of our athletes race frequently in Far West Masters, Sierra League, Singles League, and/or Airline corporate races, among other race series/events.
Our program will focus on:
Masters usually spend the first 2-3 weeks of the early season on basic skill development through free skiing.
Progression initially focuses on body position, balance, and edge control. Continuing into the season, training typically includes slalom drills using stubbies to identify turn timing, shape, and other tactics.
This is followed by full pole slalom and giant slalom with increasing difficulty of course sets and terrain, intermixed with free skiing and further skill-specific drills through the balance of the season.
Masters Program is offered with a 2-Day Weekend Only (Saturday & Sunday) or 5-Day Full Time (Wednesday -Sunday) options.
Weekday Schedule: 9:00AM – 11:00AM
Weekend & Holiday Schedule: 7:30AM – 12:30PM (typically, but subject to change)
Drills and Gates / Freeskiing / Learning Center & Dryland Training
Occasional social events, mentor days with younger programs, fundraising events, race support.
