Talent Squad

The Talent Squad program uses free skiing to teach ski fundamentals and techniques of ski racing. Ages 6-12 are welcome. The program targets performance of specific tasks following USSA guidelines while having lots of fun. This program is offered on Saturdays 9 AM to 3 PM. Optional sessions are available on Thursday afternoons and selected Sundays.

Development Team

Development Team is designed to strengthen skills in varied terrain and conditions. All training sessions focus on improving ski technique while having fun. Skiers are encouraged to participate in the Tahoe League Race Series. This program will accommodate the recreational racer who has a desire to learn to race or wants to progress to a more advanced technical level. The program runs on Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM. We also have a Freeride Group that will focus on jumps, non-groomers, tricks, terrain parks, and some race training while simultaneously working on improving skiing skills.

Far West

Far West programs are for more serious skiers with overall strong skiing ability, experience and commitment. We provide gate training with emphasis on proper technique and race tactics, video analysis and intensive free skiing drills focused on fundamentals. Racers at the J5 (10 and under) and J4 (11-12 yrs.) levels compete in the Tahoe Basin and at Mammoth Mountain. The J123(13-18 yrs.) level race in the Tahoe Basin, California and other western states. J5’s train 4 days weekly, J4’s train 5 days weekly and J123’s train 6 days weekly. We also offer a summer program for the J123 team featuring both race camps and dryland training.

Masters

Masters program focuses on providing adult intermediate and expert skiers training in technical skills, varied snow conditions and terrain, as well as slalom and giant slalom racing. The program offers gate and technical training with video analysis. All participants will enjoy training with and learning from our world class coaches. The Masters program will be offered three days weekly from 9 AM to 12 PM. The emphasis on Wednesday and Thursday mornings will be intense gate training. Friday mornings will be geared to free skiing and all mountain clinics.

Early season discount pricing is available through August 31, 2006.
